Career and Technical Education - Student Organizations

(outside source)听recognizes the value of Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) and their place as an integral part of career and technical education (CTE). The responsibility for CTE instructional programs and related activities, including CTSOs, rests with state and local education agencies. The USDE allows states to use federal Carl D. Perkins funds to provide leadership and support for the CTE student organizations (Sec. 124).

The State of Texas and the Texas Education Code also recognizes the value of career and technical student organizations by emphasizing the importance of 鈥減articipation by students and teachers in activities of career and technical student organizations supported by the agency and theState Board of Education (Sec. 29.182).鈥
